STRAILastic_A - the „noise absorber“ system

The STRAILastic_A „noise absorber“ works as a rail damper, which reduces noise emissions.

Rails are caused to vibrate due to their discontinuous support and the imbalance of the rail wheel. Based on its weight and damping effect the absorber reduces these vibrations, thereby also reducing noise emissions.

STRAILastic_A is a product made of an elastomer compound and is manufactured in a highly specialized vulcanizing process.

Based on its great mass, the absorber functions as a mass damper. The material chosen increases its overall damping effect. Noise emissions are minimized.

Ideally, STRAILastic_A is used to reduce noise from tracks which run through residential and/or urban areas, as well as across steel bridges.
