Dealing with joint problems? Try STRAILastic_KFV (synthetic joint sealing)!
The joint is the most sensitive part of each grooved rail support and therefore critical to a system‘s ability to function, as well as its durability.
Under different temperatures, conventional bituminous joints very much change their viscosity with the to be expected disadvantages in application (e.g. risk of sinking into the joint or pulling out of the joint at high temperatures).
In cooperation with a joint manufacturer we have developed STRAILastic_KFV (synthetic joint sealing). Advantages
largely constant elasticity over a wide temperature range
high adhesion values
moisture speeds up the installation process> does not prevent it
no sinking in/pulling out at high temperatures
The first installation of the material took place in October 2008. Since then, the new synthetic joint sealing has been tried and tested in several practice tests, as well as in full-scale production (already 10 km, even in winter). Do you have problems with your joints? We would be happy to schedule a test installation with you.
